STAZZO CHIVONI

VIEW MAP
DESCRIPTION:

Stazzo Chivoni is an early XIX century country-house, entirely built with granite stones. It is located on the top of the homonymous hill, surrounded by unspoilt nature with sparse Mediterranean scrub wood and vegetation, dry-stone walls and small farm cottages. Sheltered by main winds, the place benefits from an ideal weather all year round with warm summers and mild winters.
The building has been recently restored in compliance with the original criteria and materials: granite outside-walls and lime indoor-walls, juniper wood for the roof's structure and "incannicciato" ceiling (built with long, parallel reeds/bamboo canes).
Interiors are simple and comfortable.

Location: 30 minutes from Costa Smeralda and Maddalena National Park.
Stazzo Chivoni is located on the top of the homonymous hill, in the countryside between Luogosanto and Bassacutena, 18km only from the seaside.

NOTES:

Aside from enjoying the beaches you can follow the many country lanes to discover magnificent and forever changing landscapes: cork-oak and wild olive tree woods, granite deserts shaped by the wind, water meadows.

This luxuriant area, rich in myrtles, strawberry-trees and age-old wild olive trees is also scattered with pre-historical sites (nuraghis, dolmens, holy wells and “domus de janas”) and is a great starting point for numerous historical and naturalistic footpaths.
Following the routes of the scents, the route of colours and the route of fruit, berries and mushrooms picking you will discover the real Gallura far from the uproar of the Summer seaside crowd.
For those who feel more athletic, Stazzo Chivoni provides mountain bikes, trekking itineraries and sailing.
